What Moral Values are your Children Learning |
|
Only about 22% of Canadians think divorce is wrong. This is according to a poll, “Canadians and Immorality,” released in February, 2002, by Leger Marketing. If your children are growing up in the climate from which this poll was taken, wouldn’t you want to know what they really think about right and wrong? Listed below are the activities that Leger Marketing asked Canadians about. These are listed in order of the highest to lowest percent of Canadians considering them immoral. Talk to your older children about these. Find out how they would rank them, from “worst” (always wrong) to “not so bad” (OK under certain circumstances). If possible, show them what the Bible has to say about these activities.
This poll and others that reflect the behaviour and beliefs of Canadians can be found at www.legermarketing.com/english/set.html. Thanks to Today’s Family News for bringing this poll to our attention. Today’s Family News is available from Focus on the Family Canada, tfn@fotf.ca. |
