Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers the wise man said in Proverbs 22:28(NIV). The Bible sets clear boundaries for human sexual conduct.When these boundaries are moved, people get hurt and abused. The verses below illustrate sexual boundaries. Read them and answer the questions. 1. Leviticus 18:6. Uncover his nakedness (NKJV) means have sexual relations. What persons would be close relatives or near of kin to you? 2. Leviticus 18:20. Lie carnally (NKJV) means have sexual relations. Who is your neighbour? (See Luke 10:25-37). 3. Leviticus 20:13. What is the modern name for this practice? Does this verse apply to women? 4. Leviticus 18:23. What is the modern name for this practice? 5. Deuteronomy 22:23-27. In Gods eyes, rape is like ___________________ 6 Exodus 22:16, Deuteronomy 22:28-29. In some cultures this is still an acceptable way to get a marriage partner. Would you encourage your children to follow this path? 7. 1 Corinthians 6:18-7:7. (Complete the sentence) Sexual activity with anyone except the person to whom you are married is _________________________ 8. Matthew 5:28. Does this include pictures of women, as in magazines or films? 9. 1 Corinthians 6:9-17. Some prostitutes get paid very well for their services. Does this really compensate for the damage done both to prostitute and to client? 10. Genesis 19:30-35. What do you think of the excuses (e.g. drunkenness) that these people made for committing incest? APPLICATION: What could you do to influence the sexual practices of your community? |
