Overview
As a young Mennonite prairie girl in Manitoba, Clara wondered, "Are we rich or poor?" These are stories of faith and family along with ten family-favourite recipes. 115 pages, soft cover.
Description
Ten years before Clara (Durksen) Schnupp was born, in 1925, her parents and her three older siblings had traveled by ship across the Atlantic Ocean from Russia to Canada. She had heard many stories on Sunday afternoons from Papa about his family. Following tradition, Sharon (Durksen Schnupp) Kuepfer grew up hearing her mother, Clara, tell many of these stories of faith and love in Clara's large Mennonite prairie family. Sharon says, "It has become my passion to write these stories for children based on the childhood of my mother, stories which I have heard from my mother and her clan."
